Full disclosure, I’ve seen all the Halloween movies. Even the dreadful Season of the Witch. (That’s Halloween III Watson, not II.) I am a big fan of some of them, though a lot are just standard slasher films. I really liked the Rob Zombie reboot as well…but the sequel was, fittingly, pure torture.
Full disclosure, I’ve never seen a Saw movie. Probably blasphemy to some. While I do like the concept (from what I’ve read on Wikipedia) I have no interest in splatter porn.
So not sure how I feel about the writers of Saw IV to VII being handed the keys to “recalibrate” the franchise…whatever that means.
I get a feeling this might end up, for me, going the way of the Evil Dead remake. A franchise that I love, but have no interest in seeing the latest. Until the latest is Ash Vs. Evil Dead, because then I am SO there!
