20th Century Fox has confirmed that a new Alien film is in the works with director Neil Blomkamp of District 9 fame and the upcoming Chappie. Weeks ago, Blomkamp had tweeted about his working on the film and his hope that Sigourney Weaver would appear in it but no word of whether she is officially attached. The new movie will be independent of Prometheus 2, still under development, and is said to take place many years after the events of Prometheus 2. So, in other words, it’s an Alien film. Hell yeah!
