Super Sad: 33 Marvel Titles Ending Post Secret Wars

image

Noooooooooooo!!! Marvel set to retire 33 titles after Secret Wars is over. What is this wacky world we live in? What crimes against humanity have we incurred to suffer through this kind of news? What lies have they fed us to bring us to this point? Stick a fork in me, because I’m done, I just can’t handle it. Can you? See what titles they are talking about ending, and come have a big cry with me afterwards.

According to ComicBook.com Marvel’s SVP of Sales and Marketing David Gabriel said the

“616 finale” (616 being Marvel’s current main canonical universe) will be “ending th[e]se stories and the characters as you knew them – for now!”

OH GOD NO! But hey… hey… there’s hope, right? He said “for now” which means maybe, just maybe there is hope for these following titles to come back in the future, but until then, here is the list of truth (sad, sad truth) for the 33 books that will end in one form or another after Secret Wars (and may I add that Secret Wars is NOT awesome Jimmy, not after this news):

  • All-New Captain America
  • All-New Ghost Rider
  • All-New X-Men
  • Amazing Spider-Man
  • Amazing X-Men
  • Angela: Asgard’s Assassin
  • Avengers
  • Avengers World
  • Captain Marvel
  • Cyclops
  • Deadpool
  • Elektra
  • Fantastic Four
  • Guardians 3000
  • Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Hulk
  • Inhuman
  • Iron Fist: The Living Weapon
  • Legendary Star-Lord
  • Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man
  • New Avengers
  • Nightcrawler
  • Nova
  • Rocket Raccoon
  • Secret Avengers
  • Spider-Man & The X-Men
  • Spider-Man 2099
  • Storm
  • Superior Iron Man
  • Thor
  • Uncanny X-Men
  • Wolverines
  • X-Men

I’m so sad right now. And probably need a good cry to get it out of my system. Of the 33 listed, I am reading 11 of those titles. I know I’m not known for any sort of superior math skills (#JennyMath), but I’m pretty sure that my reading list is 1/3 of the titles listed. A THIRD! Shoot me now.

My only hope is like any comic event, these titles will be brought back to me in some magical 2 month waiting period where we can then all rejoice and pretend this never happened.

Now, where are those tissues?
