The latest episode of your favorite geek podcast is live right now–go listen!  Check out the full notes after the break.

Gabbing Geek 31: Three, To, One fulfills some promises to our loyal listeners.  First up, it’s the long awaited and twice delayed geek rematch of Close Encounters of the Third Kind.  Did the movie hold up after all this suspense?

Our To section is some GeekMail about some awesome Avengers egg costumes.  Why are you letting your eggs be so cold and lame?  Get them one of these awesome costumes right now!  Check out http://www.halloweencostumes.com/blog/p-671-printable-avengers-easter-egg-costumes.aspx for more details

Watson plays a fun game where we guess the movie lies and then we move on to our One segment: the Ready Player One book club.  We talk about the real world and OASIS, the role of avatars (and what ours would be), and even share some guesses about the sequel (if it’s ever made) and the movie (WHEN that’s made).  You may want to skip this section if you haven’t read the book.  But if you haven’t read the book—GO READ THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW!!  You’ll thank us for making you read this epic piece of awesomeness.

  1. While I agree that pretty much everything can be replaced with something else in Ready Player One, I _REALLY_ hope they get the mechs & Ultraman for the final fight.

Ultraman vs. Mechagodzilla with todays FX could be epic.
