CBS thinks they have a hit on their hands with the upcoming Supergirl live action series. But the question is, how do they handle the onscreen presence of the most iconic superhero EVAH? The producers have now tipped their hand.
According to the show’s executive producer, Superman will be just outside of the viewer’s line of sight.
“Our prototype is the way the president is seen on ‘Veep,’” Adler revealed, referring to the way that “Veep” often refers to but rarely shows the president. “It’s certainly [inspired by] so much of what Julia-Louis Dreyfus’ character goes through. Ultimately, this is a show about Supergirl and we really want to see it through her lens.”
