Gabbing Geek 51: Battle Lines

Gabbing Geek 51, Battle Lines, is so contentious you’ll think it was a presidential debate where every single candidate is Donald Trump.  We talk about corporate wars at Marvel, the latest salvo in the battle of the video streaming giants, our epic Geek Book Club discussion of Armada, and our latest game: Battle Royale.  You can start listening to this amazing, ferocious episode right now or jump after the break to find out more!

Episode 51, Battle Lines, is all about conflict and drawing lines.  First we start off with our Geekiest News of the Week (GNOW) where we cover the organizational battles with Disney and Marvel Studios and what it means for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then we discuss the latest salvo in the streaming wars as Amazon allows video downloads for their previous streaming-only offering.

Next we all pick sides in our long awaited and super intense discussion of Armada.  Who liked the book?  Who hated it?  Who didn’t even finish the book?

After some Armada and time-travel GeekMails we then jump into our next big game: Battle Royale.  Jenny has a golden bucket (and not at all a blue plastic cup) with 51 comic book/movie characters written on slips of paper inside.  We each pick one at random and then debate which one wins in an all-out fight.  Find out what happens when Black Widow, Zatanna, and The Flash battle; then see what happens when Hellboy, Thanos, and Storm duke it out.
