Teaser Time: Warcraft

So, for some reason, there’s a Warcraft movie coming out.

As near as I can make out, I’m the only person at Gabbing Geek who ever played World of Warcraft at all, and for the life of me, I still don’t know why there’s a movie coming.  I mean, yeah, a few million players worldwide, the game as a deep mythology of its own, and so forth, but has there ever been a successful movie based on a video game?

Well, there’s a teaser after the cut if anyone is interested.  Don’t sneeze during play or you’ll miss the whole thing and have to play it again.

Awesome Cosplay Of The Day: World Of Warcraft Grommash

Wow – some people are just so incredibly talented. We are in awe of the amazing work that is showcased by a member of the Korean cosplay team Spiral Cats as Grommash. We’re a little late the game, since it was first shown off at the South Korean launch of World of Warcraft: Warlord of Draenor last fall. But still – props to you fine sir, from the makeup, to the prosthetics, to the costume – you just won the internet! See more photos after the break:

World Of Warcraft To Open “Free Play?”

World of Warcraft is a beast. A beast to be reckoned with. For over a decade Blizzard’s top MMORPG has been dominating the gaming world. With over 12 million subscribers at its peak in a few years ago, and enough money to last a lifetime, the long-term growth of the franchise is slowly coming to a halt. So it looks like the next steps for World Of Warcraft might be moving towards the option of free-to-play.
