It’s Freaky Friday! And that means that tomorrow is Halloween! Yay candy! Yay dressing up and going amuck-amuck-amuck! But before you go out of the house, make sure you grab you Halloween appropriate handbag. And to get you started, here are some goulish grabs we are dying to share, like the above from MotherOfMonsters….
Flashback Friday has never been so cool! Just check out this awesome Maurice from Little Monsters cosplay. It was created by Imgur user wolf mother and adorned on her more than willing son. Apparently this has become a yearly thing, where the little man as dressed up as Edward Scissorhands, David from Lost Boys, and the one who’s name you never repeat thrice, Beetlejuice. Welcome to the Friday before Halloween everyone, or what YouTuber Jordan Hanz likes to call HANZOWEEN! The Lich King (featured above), aka Arthas is one bad ass looking dude, so she wanted to do a skull inspired Lich “Queen” Halloween Makeup Tutorial to satiate her deadly desires. What’s super cool about Jordan, is that she has been doing this all month, so she has 30+ video tutorials on her YouTube channel. Check out some of our spooktacular favorites like Harley Quinn, Joker, and of course The Lich King after the break:
Thought you might all need a daily dose of cuteness – and you’ll find it here with an overly adorable Godzilla parody made by HelloDenizen and her tiny hamster! The video is just too much to handle – tiny helicopters, tiny trains, tiny trees, and even tiny building all get eaten or destroyed by our not so tiny mutant hamster friend – we’ll call him Larry. Larry seems like the kind of name that would destroy things down town without a care in the world. Thanks Larry, there goes the neighborhood!! Want to see for yourself, watch the video after the break:
One, Two, Freddy’s coming for you…. three, four, better check your floor…..for mini LEGO bricks, because stepping on those at night hurts like hell! Thanks to Etsy shop CustomBricks, you too can have tiny nightmarish LEGO figures just hanging out, ready to terrorize you in the night. Horror figurines not your thing? No problem. CustomBricks also has a few non-threatening characters like Dr. Who – and V from V for Vendetta. Well – depends on your definition of non-threatening. AmIRight? Check our more mini figures after the break:
On our Podcast Episode 32: The Hill, Jenny mentioned that she would like to reboot The Munsters in a more modern TV series. Well, as luck would have it, we came across this scale replica of The Munster’s house they used for the original TV show. What are the odds? And if that’s not creepy enough, Etsy artist EmmyNHiros has made many more scale replica Haunted Doll Houses. Because, you know, regular doll houses aren’t creepy enough. See more detailed photos of The Munster’s house, plus the Amityville Horror house after the break:
Geeks love all kinds of facts and ideas, so weird but true facts shouldn’t be an exception. For example, in the year 1910, there were fears of a meat shortage in the United States. People were worried there wasn’t enough meat to go around, and no one was sure where a larger meat supply would come from.
That would be why the idea of shipping live hippopotami from Africa to free range ranches was actually something people were considering.
This is probably one of my favorite videos on YouTube. Someone took tons of clips from tons of movies and TV shows and made a rather good techno-kinda tune out of it. I’ve seen lots of stuff, but even I can’t name all of them here. I tend to skip to this whenever I want a quick smile at someone else’s cleverness.
ACK! Like we needed one more reason to be scared of sharks. It’s not like anyone says, “Hey shark, how ya’ doing? Say hello to ya’ motha’ for me.” NO! No one talks to sharks. You know why? Because sharks are scary, and they have razor sharp teeth to chew through soft tiny limbs, and oh god…. just look at that photo! We’re not talking your standard shark teeth, now we’re talking millions of layered razor sharp needle teeth just waiting to rip through you. Make it stop! The horror!
“While video chatting one night, six high school friends receive a Skype message from a classmate who killed herself exactly one year ago. A first they think it’s a prank, but when the girl starts revealing the friends’ darkest secrets, they realize they are dealing with something out of this world, something that wants them dead. Told entirely from a young girl’s computer desktop, CYBERNATURAL redefines ‘found footage’ for a new generation of teens.” – IMDB
Um. No. No. No. No. No. No.
Let this be a lesson to all you young pups out there, the internet may be a resource, but it’s also full of crazies! Thankfully you stick to Gabbing Geek and that’s it, right? ……… Right?!
