Defending The Grade: Ryan’s Batsoup Rating

  The discussion around Batman v Superman will likely continue…well, forever. After our initial ratings Prime Blogger Tom felt the need to defend his generous grade of the movie.  I thought he did a good job explaining his rationale so I thought I would return the favor by defending my own rating the movie a 3 out of 10. I may be late to the game in finally seeing Batsoup but at least I didn’t have to brave the crowds to see it. While my fellow Gabbing Geeks have given the movie much higher ratings (above 5 out of 10) I thought rather than just give a review I would list everything wrong with the movie. Why Zootopia Is Not A Kids Movie! (Not Really…It Totally Is A Kids Movie And That’s OK)

Achieving both high critical praise and high ticket sales, Disney’s Zootopia seems to be the kind of high quality movie you can take your kids to.

Late Geek Movie Review: Big Hero 6

Shaun The Sheep: Baaaaaaaad Marketing? (Spoiler-Free Review Too)

Shortly before I succumbed to an epic week of stomach issues and other infirmities too painful to mention, I had a good day within which I was able to take my five-year-old son to see Shaun the Sheep.  It was only upon waking from my fever dreams that I discovered Shaun didn’t do baaaaadly at the box office.  It did horribly.  Not only did the movie not deserve its box office performance, but it has to make me wonder what went wrong.  Find out some of my guesses why this delightful family film failed after the break.
