Yeah, we’ve got another Independence Day coming for some reason. Another trailer has dropped. How is it?
Self-referential? Cliched? Half-baked explanations for the total absence of Will Smith? Yup. All that is accounted for. Like the last one, it looks like a lot of ideas and shots taken from other, better movies. See for yourself after the cut.
Like the interwebs, I wasn’t around in 1960, but I’m sure if we were I would have been reading about people complaining that Hollywood didn’t need to remake Akira Kurosawa’s 1954 Japanese-language film Seven Samurai. But they did, and it is considered a classic western.
Fast forward to 2016 and we do have the interwebs and me and while I haven’t seen much flack about it, they are remaking that classic western The Magnificent Seven. This new version stars Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt and is directed by frequent Washington collaborater Antoine Fuqua.
You can watch the trailer after the break. I have to say that I liked it. I’d be curious to hear what die hard fans of the 1960 original think about it though.

Earlier today, Ryan posted the new Warcraft trailer, which is a thing that is happening. I’d posted a couple, and usually couple the trailer in question with something that looks much cooler. While looking for something to go with the new one before Ryan beat me to the punch, I found this thing for Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. I had a few thoughts.
Look, I know nothing of this whole thing, but it seems to be a thing that exists. You know, like Warcraft. There’s a date attached for June. Anyway, trailer after the cut. Go nuts. It’s probably better than Krull.

The latest trailer just came out and, well, Tom already said most of what needs to be said. Except for one thing: what’s up with the text “An unthinkable threat”? These are Orcs! You live in the world of Warcraft and you don’t think Orcs are a threat? WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING ALL YOUR LIFE? They’re Orcs. They’re…well…they’re your orcs. They’re like your El Guapo, everybody has one but yours happens to be actual Orcs.

X-Men: Apocalypse is coming out soon, and Fox has always come up with some unique ads for the current X-Men movies. A new one for Apocalypse comes in the form of a cheesy 80s “documentary” series with a very familiar voice acting as narrator.

You know what keeps looking better with every trailer if I am being brutally honest? Suicide Squad. Maybe it’s because of how blah Batsoup was, but the trailers at least have rocked.
