In case you missed it, Saturday Night Live had a sketch featuring Adam Driver going undercover as a lowly technician on the Starkiller Base to see how people really feel about working for the First Order and about their boss Kylo Ren. Video after the cut.
Above we have the latest poster for The Force Awakens in IMAX. After the cut, three previously released posters in a similar art style. Jenny, don’t these look good enough to frame and put up in your den?
In other news, premium cable network Starz has secured exclusive TV rights to air The Force Awakens. I’m not sure if anyone cares about this, but there you go.
Because a day is not complete without at least one Star Wars post. (Editor’s note: Uh, Jimmy, Tom already posted about Star Wars with the Box Office Report…which you would know if you had written the Box Office Report like you had been assigned. You are already on thin ice in 2016 Mr. Impossible.)
Well, geez. If you’re still around, after the cut, check out these trailers for Episodes V and VI, with a modern flair to them.
Earlier today we paid respect to those that celebrate Festivus. And now, Darth Santa let’s us know how he feels about Christmas in a video after the cut.
It’s a slow day here at the Gabbing Geek office as we are all suffering from Force hangovers. But we still need to post something. So above, Universal shows respect to Star Wars on breaking almost every record in existence. Including top opening weekend, best single day, most home runs in a season, fastest quarter mile and number of hot dogs eaten in an hour.
ICYMI, after the break, a reminder of Marvel doing the same for Universal when Jurassic World bested Avengers.
So a few people around the Gabbing Geek offices are pretty excited today about going to see The Force Awakens. Unfortunately I have to stay and get the gremlins out of the servers and reconfigure the Watson Finder™ as it is clearly not working, and won’t be seeing the movie until Sunday. (Yes, my Geek Card status is definitely in question.)
After the break, to cleanse the pallet and prepare for the new film, Honest Trailers and How It Should Have Ended tackle the last Star Wars film that was released.
Remember a long, long time ago…ok, it was March 2015, when we posted the epic battle between Batman and Darth Vader? In the same vein we bring you another video from the minds of Super Power Beat Down that pits Darth Maul vs Spider-Man. You guys know I love Spidey, so you know who I’d vote for. Check out the video after the cut and let us know in the comments who you think should have won.
(If you want to skip over the preamble and fan interviews, the actual fight starts around the 6:50 mark.)
I haven’t re-watched Attack of the Clones yet, so…there’s no comments from me in the post that precedes this one. But to at least contribute today I searched out this Honest Trailer. Some funny stuff, and no love is given to most anything, especially Hayden Christensen…but that is no surprise. See for yourself after the break.
A bunch of trailers dropped yesterday in addition to the new Spielberg movie The BFG. After the break check out new trailers for The Legend Of Tarzan (really, another one?), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (really, another one?) and a new international trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens (yeah, another one!).
