I’m a fan of the X-Men films, but the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse had me concerned. The commercial that aired during the Super Bowl has restored some of that faith. It looks much better than the trailer. You’ve probably seen it by now, but if not, watch it after the break.

Jimmy Attempts To Read All Of Secret Wars 51
Life is funny sometimes. When I wrote my walk through of Secret Wars #9 I mentioned that I had read all the events books except for Armor Wars #½. Since it was a limited giveaway at Toys R’ Us (a store I don’t frequent) I had a hard time getting my hands it. Strangely enough, it was literally half an hour after that review posted to the website, I happened upon a copy.
After the break I will inch closer to completing this odyssey with the aforementioned Armor Wars #½, as well as finish off Weirdworld (#3-5) and X-Men ’92 (Infinite) (#7-8). As usual, this way be spoilers.

Bold Predictions: 2016 Edition- Watson’s Rebuttal
I’m totally off the grid these days, but Ryan’s predictions are so bad I had to come in and rip them to shreds and give you the REAL numbers. His bold predictions about how the 2015 domestic box office would turn out were pretty weak. He called his performance was mixed–but for him mixed was chocolate plus peanut butter. In reality, it is a mix of Ex-lax and motor oil. So I am going to go, one by one, through his 2016 picks and give the real number. We have a lunch bet on who has the lowest delta between the acutals and their predictions. NO PRICE IS RIGHT RULES IN EFFECT!

Bold Predictions: 2016 Edition
One year ago I made some bold predictions about how the 2015 domestic box office would turn out. My performance was mixed–got some, missed some others. But now it’s time to look ahead to 2016. Jump after the break to see what I predict will be the top ten grossing films of the year along with 33 other movies I’m making some bold predictions on!
Slightly Misplaced Comic Book Heroes Case File #48: The Sentry

Writer Paul Jenkins and artist Jae Lee had a surprise hit with an Inhumans mini-series when the “Marvel Knights” line launched, so there was some anticipation for their follow-up.
That would have been a character they said was a long forgotten Marvel hero that predated the Fantastic Four. They said his name was the Sentry.

Jimmy Attempts To Read All Of Secret Wars 44 (Age Of Apocalypse Edition)
As a comic geek it is probably a bit surprising that I never read the original Age of Apocalypse when it came out in 1995-1996. That was a time period where I had started to move away from comics. Partly because of other interests and partly financially, my time and money was getting funneled into girls, university, girls, music, food, transportation, girls and did I mention girls?
To this day I still haven’t read it, but I have read the Secret Wars version of Age Of Apocalypse which I will take a spoilery look at after the break.

I’m Not Sure What To Think About This First X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer

Apocalypse is a great X-Men villain. And I really enjoyed X-Men: First Class and loved X-Men: Days of Future Past. But I’m not sure what to make of this first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse. Nothing really grabs me about it and I hate the look of Apocalypse. Maybe you’ll feel differently.
That said, I’m sure I’ll be seeing it in the theaters come May 27, 2016.

Jimmy Attempts To Read All Of Secret Wars XXXVI
The end is near for Secret Wars. After last weeks releases there are only 4 issues left in the event (I think), two of which are the conclusion to the main series. After the break I’ll have a look at Secret Wars #7 and two other series that wrapped up: Thors (I’ll look at Thors #3 and Thors #4) and Squadron Sinister with issue #4.
Be sure to check out our latest Secret Wars Power Rankings, which also features links to the other parts of my read through.

Jimmy Attempts To Read All Of Secret Wars XXIX
So, not unexpectedly I’m way behind in going through all of Secret Wars. But give me a break, there are over 200 issues and counting to this event. At least the Secret Wars main series being so extremely late and now extended an issue gives me until at least December, if not 2016, to finish up “on time”.
After the cut I’ll take a spoiler filled look at the latest issue of the main series: Secret Wars #6. As well, I’ll finish off my review of the series Old Man Logan. I previously looked at Parts 1 and 2 and in this post I’ll examine Old Man Logan #3, Old Man Logan #4 and Old Man Logan #5. I’ll save spoilers until after the cut, but let’s just say, we have another disappointing ending to add to the pile.

So the Y chromosomes talk about Star Wars, Hunger Games, Mars, Alexander Hamilton, movie villains, and the summer of 2016 in movies.
