For all you geek-yogi heads out there – here is a fantastic list of Star Wars inspired yoga poses for you to try out the next time you are feeling frisky – or bendy – or peaceful – or whatever it is you have to feel to do yoga. I’m sure Darth Vader could really use a good cleanse. 🙂 See all the poses after the break:
Jurassic World is so hot, even Star Wars wants to hang on to its coattails? Check the funny mashups after the break.
Yeah. This article is about Adamantium and Vibranium, but you know what I’m thinking. The kids don’t know, but you do….
Nothing says Star Wars fan like having a hand sewn pillow on your couch or bed. You know – it’s the little things that claim you as classy, yet practical. Etsy shop owner AlienCoutureUK (AC) searched everywhere for anyone who made interesting cushions for the Geek home, but could not find a good selection anywhere. So to remedy that, the shop started making their own. Eventually all their friends started asking AC to make them some, and so Alien Couture was born. Check out more of their styles after the break:
Josh Trank has had a lot of bad press lately. A rumor was going around this weekend that made his career seem over. He responded to set the record straight, but what is the impact that these rumors were even floating around? We look into it after the jump.
This week on the podcast, those darn Gabbing Geeks discussed how to fix disappointing stories. They also discussed pop culture mothers after Mother’s Day, but I don’t have anything to add there. They also discussed feminist action heroes, but that might be the work of a future column.

Beery Method is a graphic, branding and marketing company based in Seattle. And I’m not gonna lie, some of their alternative images for our beloved Star Wars characters are a little creeptastic. But that’s what’s fun about it – check out the following pictures that are both crazy-wakadoo Star Wars as well as zombirific – also named “the Deathside collection” after the break:
This week on the podcast, Jenny and the guys discussed grievances and Age of Ultron. Now, in the private editorial meeting that came about between the recording of the podcast and my ability to listen to the podcast, Jenny expressed hopes I would not be too hard on her.
Never fear, Jenny. No matter how much quacking is going on, I think you may be more right than wrong this week.
Some SPOILERS after the cut.
Hopefully you were able to see all the amazing cosplay that came out of the Star Wars Celebration this past month. But if you missed it, never fear, Cosplay Boom captured it, along with the touching stories of the people who spend numerous amounts of hours to recreate the characters from a galaxy far far away. Many of the costumes look like they were plucked straight out of the film, but some of the most creative examples are those that blend a cosplayer’s varied passions into one outfit – like the famous Hip-Hop Stormtrooper pictured above.
You’ll want to grab a tissue or at least have your handy “IT WAS ALLERGIES” excuse ready to go, because this video is amazing:
Papercraft is one of the most intricate forms of art. All the little tiny slice and dices are enough to make any regular exacto knife user pull their hair out. But Etsy shop owner WillPigg makes it look so effortless and beautiful. You have to check out his amazing creations. All of his creations are hand cut to order, and they are mesmerizing.
