You’re James Wan.  You just directed the fifth highest grossing movie of all time in Furious 7.  What do you do next?  Predictably you reboot a twenty year old tv show that is probably incredibly painful to watch now because Tom Kelly and nostalgia.

If you are still interested, The Hollywood Reporter, uh, reports that a new series is in the works at CBS.  It will focus on a new 20-something year old new hotness MacG and not a broken down Richard Dean Anderson version.  Wan will executive produce and direct the pilot.

Everything old is new again.  What’s next, a Jem movie?  Ah…another A-Team reboot?  Geez…

What is Superman’s Role in the Supergirl TV Series?

CBS thinks they have a hit on their hands with the upcoming Supergirl live action series.  But the question is, how do they handle the onscreen presence of the most iconic superhero EVAH?  The producers have now tipped their hand.

CBS is still going forward with plans to make Supergirl a TV star, and last I checked, Cosplay Enthusiast Jenny (her actual job title believe it or don’t) hates that outfit she’s wearing.  Dominatrix boots with a Superman shirt are not her thing.

Gabbing Geek, like any online publication worth its salt, has editorial discussions.  Watson was wondering how a story on longest-dead characters would go, specifically ones that stayed dead or had actual emotional impacts on the reader, especially if they died during an “event”.

Shortest death:  probably Hal Jordan as Paralax in Zero Hour…back the very next month in the pages of Green Lantern.  Longest may be Captain Mar-Vel, still dead and staying that way.

But that idea sounds like it would require too much research, so instead I’m gonna talk about Supergirl.

Supergirl Has Been Cast And We Are “Gleefully” Surprised!

Melissa Benoist has been cast as Supergirl in CBS’s new upcoming hit show! You know what this means? Time to get out the hydrogen peroxide and dye that hair! Or wear a blonde wig, because Supergirl isn’t Supergirl without blonde hair. (This is coming from a blonde supporter, and thus otherwise expert on all things blonde).

Supergirl = “Female Superhero Empowerment Story” (But We Already Knew That Because She Is Awesome!)

Supergirl! Or, since you asked, yes…. my alter-ego. How did you know? It’s the blonde hair, right? HA – you caught me, you caught me…. wait, what? You’re not buying it? You don’t think I’m super girl? Well, we’ll just see who get’s Benedict Cumberbatch in the end, now won’t we?
