Raptor Heads – You Don’t Just Leave These Hanging Around People!

Good god almighty! What in tarnation is someone doing making a raptor mask like that? Are they trying to scare the bajeebus out of me? Apparently Etsy shop owner JapicoCreaciones is doing just that – making awesome masks that can scare the bajeebus out of anyone. Some of this other masks are pretty cool – like the Magneto helmet, and the League Of Legends helmet….those aren’t so scary. But getting back to the raptor – good god! I can’t look. Too creepy! Cut To Perfection: Paper Craft Animal Masks

A couple of years ago Steve Wintercroft, after receiving an invite to a Halloween party but struggling for costume ideas, sat down with a pile of old cardboard, some parcel tape, a pair of scissors and plenty of hot tea. An hour or so later and after some trial and error he had made himself a fox mask. The mask was well received so a year later he redesigned it and added a couple of other animals. And thus was born the WINTERCROFT Etsy shop.

The masks are straight forward to cut out and assemble and are intended to be made from waste card, old cereal boxes are perfect. Steve designed masks for music videos, fashion shoots, parties and events with designs from dogs to a Stag and is always open to suggestions for new ideas. If can’t find what you are looking for or you need a particular mask for your event, just ask. In the shop you will find delicately drawn templates, and easy to follow written instructions so that the masks can be assembled by anyone, using local materials and removing the need for mass manufacturing or shipping. Super Mario Intro Made Of Toothpicks: Nothing To Pick Your Teeth Over.

What the what? Yep – you’re looking at that correctly, that’s a 3D replica of the start screen for Super Mario Brothers. Twitter user BitBlt_Korry created this masterpiece by using 14,000 painted toothpicks. The project cost him a total $84, which is a lot of money going to small sticks. But we’d say say it was money worth spent, and so will you after you see the video. Check it out after the break:
