What if our favorite Disney Princesses decided to don a new look, and dress up as Superheroines? Who would they be? Well, thanks to Artist Isaiah K Stephens we can see what these amazing women would look like with their alter egos. For example,  Aurora  above has chosen to dress up as Daenerys Targaryen. See Belle, Ariel, and so much more after the break.

15 Unsolved Mysteries From A Song Of Ice And Fire

CHtDjGqVEAAYURW

The recent season finale for HBO’s Game of Thrones did its usual job of shocking viewers who maybe thought they had the whole thing figured out.  By this point, even book readers are likely to be a little shocked since the show has more or less used up all the material George R.R. Martin had published officially to date, with changes made and some characters (Lady Stoneheart for example) being completely omited.

But Martin has said there are two more novels to come, and while The Winds of Winter may be finished next year (or it may not), the books do have a number of unsolved mysteries left to be explored.

After the cut, I’m going to write up 15 unsolved mysteries from the novel series.  I’m not ranking them.  That’s for other people.  The list is no doubt not exhaustive either.

Obviously, there are MAJOR SPOILERS below the cut, and some of the mysteries listed may be true for the show as well.  You’ve been warned.

Game Of Thrones Season Six Predictions

IMG_8931

Season five for Game of Thrones ended on HBO last night.  My wife and I watched and she declared for all the world to see on Facebook that she had not been this upset by the show since Season 1, Episode 9.

Seriously, my wife almost stopped watching at that point.

For myself, I read the books and more or less knew what was coming.  But aside from some Iron Islands stuff and a bit more of Arya in Braavos, there isn’t much left for even book readers to feel smug about seeing coming for the uninitiated (red wedding anyone?).  Besides, major changes were made this year the instant Sansa turned up in at a certain northern location.

Does that count as a SPOILER?  I don’t think so.  There may be more after the cut where I make my predictions for next year.

Episode Review: Game Of Thrones – House Of Black & White = Snoozer

game-of-thrones-season-5-arya-hbo

I finally watched Game of Thrones S05E02 House of Black & White……. and-zzzzzzzz. Oh, sorry, I must have fallen asleep there for a minute much like when I actually watched the episode. The premier of season 5 did little to grab my attention so I was hoping this week’s episode would do more. There were a handful of bright spots here and there but I honestly don’t regret my decision to watch the latest Silicon Valley before tuning in to Game of Thrones. Warning: Spoilers after the break.

Daenerys Qarth Replica Dress! Because Why Not?

il_fullxfull.523270416_ip9r

This is a beautiful replica of Daenerys’ Qarth Blue/Gold dress. I mean, every detail is exquisite! Not only is the color of the material perfect, but so is the gold placement of the belt and shoulders. The dress is hand made to order by Etsy shop owner Tavariel. She makes the dress from from 14 yards of silk chiffon that she hand-dyes blue and hand-paints gold. The dress closes with a side zipper. She offers a plunging neck to the waist, which is more screen accurate, or she can do a more modest version. Everything is lined and professionally finished. The shoulders and belt are made from carved thermoplastic that I sculpt with a heat tool and paint gold. See a comparison to the real thing after the break:

The “Game Of Thrones” News We All Pretty Much Expected

Above statement no longer true.
Above statement no longer true.

In news that should be, like, no surprise at all to fans of both George R.R. Martin’s Song of Ice and Fire  novels and the HBO series Game of Thrones, one of the producers of said show has pretty much acknowledged that the show will give away the end of the books before the books get there, which at Martin’s current pace will probably be around the year 2525, if man is still alive, if woman can survive.
