Spider-Man Complete Chronology Update 10 (Spider-Man v Superman Edition)

In an era where Marvel and DC are spending most of their time and resources duking it out for supremacy at the box office, it may be hard to believe that it wasn’t that long ago the Big Two had quite a run of crossovers between their respective super hero universes.

The 90’s gave rise to crossovers such as Batman/Daredevil, Batman/Punisher, Batman/Captain America, Batman/Spider-Man…hmm…I guess they should more accurately be called Marvel and Batman crossovers.

Prior to that 90’s boom however, the crossing over of characters between the two companies was few and far between.  After the break we’ll look at two of those starring the two companies biggest hitters (apologies to Batman): Superman and Spider-Man.

DC Comics have released a short video/commercial for their upcoming Convergence mega crossover event.  It’s an interesting watch that gives us a few new details and art.  Watch after the break.

Peter Parker Popup aPearances (Or Spiders, Spiders Everywhere 2)

Working as a photographer for a great metropolitan newspaper has it’s advantages when you’re Spider-Man.  Need to get to Florida?  Get esteemed publisher J Jonah Jameson to pay your way in exchange for a Lizard or Man-Thing exposé.  And don’t worry about the seldom asked and even less seldom pursued questions like “What is Spider-Man doing in Paris?  Hey, isn’t Peter Parker in Paris?”  A stand-in, Spider-Man suit stuffed with hay or a well timed and placed pre-recorded message that makes people thing Spider-Man and Peter Parker are not one and the same, will do just fine.  This is not a universe that can be fooled by a pair of reading glasses, but they’re not much better.
