Eventually, Marvel caught and passed DC; which will try to return to the pinnacle with Batsoup. Today we take a look at the superhero films that excelled despite not having the built in advantage of the DC/Marvel banner. And as a Gabbing Geek bonus, we’ll also tell you where the film’s characters would best fit if you shoehorned it into the DC or Marvel comicverse.  Cuz we’re awesome like that.

In time for the release of Taken 3 (in theaters today!), Comingsoon.net counts down the ten best action films of the great Liam Neeson.  The orignal Taken is a deserving #1, but we cannot BELIEVE the author left Liam’s role in Love, Actually off the list entirely!  Remember the scene where Neeson snaps and starts killing the other characters because nothing had happened the whole damned movie?  Neither do we, but wouldn’t that have been sweet!?!
