Artists are amazing in their own right, but watching an artist work – especially over a time-lapse is even better. Check out Youtuber Jeanne D’Art as she draws a portrait of Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay. The tools she used were: Prismacolor Premier, Derwent Coloursoft, Faber Castell and Zest it for blending. See it all come together in the video after the break:
Conor Burke has reimagined some iconic characters in a fantasy styling with incredible results. Which is your favorite?
We’re pretty sure that Matt Damon himself would approve of this awesome fan art by RHADS. If you haven’t read The Martian yet – stop what you’re doing, and pick up the book. I mean it. Just stop everything and go read it. Thank me later.
Be sure to check out RHADS other works of art – they are truly stunning!
Last fall I was super obsessed with Diablo III. My husband and I would come home from work, cook up a quick meal, and then play all night going from on quest to the next. It was our happy-fall-routine. After we beat the game and continued to reap bounty after bounty through rifts and such, eventually we moved on. But the other night I picked up the game again, and remember the surge and beauty that was my Crusader character. If you too were a Diablo III fan – you’ll need to check out these collections of Female Crusaders – they are all quite stunning. (Artist featured above: Jorsch)
During San Diego Comic-Con, Sideshow Collectibles revealed their new Masters of the Universe pieces which Deviant Artist Nebezial helped design! Check out the other concept sketches for Skeletor, as well as the prototypes from Sideshow. 🙂 Super cool to see art transform into a 3D figure.
Aren’t we all just a little sick and tired of seeing Uhura kiss and play nice with the rest of Starfleet? Well not this Uhrua, she’s kicking ass and taking names. Who’s next? Want to see more? Check out artist Janey-Jane on Deviant Art. Watch out space frontier, there’s a new captain in town.
