Alvin Alcedo has hundreds of wonderful art to view – definitely take the time to check her out, and some of our favorites after the break:
Okay, Okay – you got us. This really isn’t cosplay, per say – but, it is a really awesome way to give your cat a shave during these hot summer months. Remember those lion cuts that people were doing a while back… well guess what, The Main Lion cat grooming salon of Paoli, Pennsylvania just upped the stakes. This is a must if you are a game of thrones fan…. you know why? (see after the break)
A couple of years ago Steve Wintercroft, after receiving an invite to a Halloween party but struggling for costume ideas, sat down with a pile of old cardboard, some parcel tape, a pair of scissors and plenty of hot tea. An hour or so later and after some trial and error he had made himself a fox mask. The mask was well received so a year later he redesigned it and added a couple of other animals. And thus was born the WINTERCROFT Etsy shop.
The masks are straight forward to cut out and assemble and are intended to be made from waste card, old cereal boxes are perfect. Steve designed masks for music videos, fashion shoots, parties and events with designs from dogs to a Stag and is always open to suggestions for new ideas. If can’t find what you are looking for or you need a particular mask for your event, just ask. In the shop you will find delicately drawn templates, and easy to follow written instructions so that the masks can be assembled by anyone, using local materials and removing the need for mass manufacturing or shipping. You’ve GOT to see how amazing these masks are after the break:
I wonder if anyone can train me to make these dragon scales, because these are just beautiful. Thanks to Etsy shop owner PowderedandWaisted, you too can revel in the glory of dragon scales all over you body. Each corset is hand dyed silk with organza ‘scales’, while the whole thing is silk lined. You can ask for your choice of colors as the silk is custom dyed. See more after the break:
Dragons are awesome. But Dragons made of paper mache are terrifyingly out of this world! All credit goes to Dan (the Monster Man) Reeder. Dan is a paper mache artist living in Seattle, Washington who’s been doing his own version of paper mache since 1972. Dan’s life goal is to spread the word about this under-rated, under-utilized art form. And we here at Gabbing Geek want to help bring awareness to Dragons. So it’s a win-win. I mean, can we all agree that Dragons are misunderstood creatures? All they need is a little love, gold, and hobbit meat. Is that too much to ask? See a Video and more great photos after the break.
