Did Fury Road Rewrite The Ending To Beyond Thunderdome?

This post will blow your mind like Max blows up everything else.

WARNING: This post contains very minor spoilers to Mad Max: Fury Road but significant spoilers to Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.  Although Beyond Thunderdome is 30 years old, so if you haven’t seen it by now you may as well read this.

2015 is almost half done but Mad Max: Fury Road is shaping up to be the best movie of the year for geeks.  Admittedly, there’s a strong contender come December (if you don’t know what I mean, check out our awesome Geek Calendar) but from my spoiler-free review and Tom’s review too it’s obvious that we all think Fury Road is shiny and glorious.

I left the theater after Fury Road amazed at what I’d seen.  And a bit confused by something.  It took me a while to pin it down, but ultimately it led me to reconsider the ending of Beyond Thunderdome in an interesting way.  Did the third Mad Max film end in a completely different way than we thought for the past three decades?  Read more after the break.

Parents to young children often come to despise the programs that our offspring love.  Teletubbies.  Barney.  The Wiggles.  They have their time and their place and that time was not now and the place was not on your TV/tablet/phone.  But then there are the rare TV shows made for kids that aren’t just great for kids, they are all around great shows.

Phineas and Ferb is one of those shows and it’s all about to end.  Read more after the break.
