Last week, I covered a character that was mostly used by one creator during a comic run for a team book.  That was DC’s Faith.  It seems only fair to do that again this week for Marvel.  Only this time, the creator in question was writing that team for a very, very long time.

This may also just be a retcon gone wrong.  This week, we’re looking at Sage.

If you’ve been reading my Secret Wars write ups (and of course, you have been right?) you’ve probably heard me mention that I haven’t been much of a reader of the big green guy.  I’ve nothing against The Hulk, but I’ve never been drawn in enough to collect him regularly.  Even during my “Todd McFarlane is God” phase I only read the first trade paperback of his Hulk run.

But I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about this new take on The Hulk starring Amadeus Cho instead of Bruce Banner, so I thought I would check it out.  See what I thought (though the title of this article pretty much gives it away), mostly spoiler free, after the break.

This column has always been there for lesser known, forgotten, or frequently recharacterized superheroes from various ages.  Today, though, I’ll be discussing Amadeus Cho, former Mastermind Excello and future Hulk.

Thing is, he’s not really misplaced, but he’s also probably something of a mystery to a lot of potential readers.  As such, here goes…
