And now, we come to the end.
Yes, it’s Return of the Jedi.
Man, now that the prequels are done and over with, the series just keeps getting better and better.
Let’s talk about The Empire Strikes Back.
And now we get to the original Star Wars.
It’s about damn time.
OK, Star Wars fans. quick question: which movie was worse, Phantom Menace or Attack of the Clones?
See, Menace has the comedic stylings of Jar Jar Binks and obnoxious pre-teen Anakin Skywalker. Attack has a lot of half-assed romance and obnoxious post-teen Anakin Skywalker. I’d actually rather see Phantom Menace given the choice. At least that one had some pod racing.
But hey, we’re not skipping Attack of the Clones.
The Force Awakens opens on the 18th. Star Wars fans can barely contain themselves. They got the original band back together (mostly), and the epic saga continues with a new generation.
To better prepare ourselves, we here at Gabbing Geek are doing a Star Wars rewatch, with a movie covered a day until the 18th rolls around, skipping weekends.
Here’s our first installment on Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
Harrison Ford, famously, is not overly fond of the character of Han Solo. Could it be because of a long-standing feud he had with co-star Chewbacca?
Probably not, but it was the basis for some bits on Jimmy Kimmel Live. See them bury the hatchet after the cut.
Daniel Craig’s last outing as James Bond will be out very soon. Craig wasn’t the first Bond and probably won’t be the last. But recasting is hardly new. There have been multiple Batmen, Supermen, and probably a new Wolverine fairly soon.
But what about Indiana Jones, I ask knowing the answer. Well, see after the cut to find out what one producer thinks.
Movie posters are iconic pieces of art but it is amazing how much the titles and font are part of the visual appeal. We check out what the posters look like with the text stripped away and only the visual to sell the story.
