And the DCAU walk through with Jimmy will be up again on Friday with the next three episodes of Batman The Animated Series.
So, come by for that stuff. Or don’t. It’s up to you, Gabbing Geek reader.
Bone Read-Along #2: The Great Cow Race
Here’s part two of my read-along of Jeff Smith’s delightful Bone series.
This installment will cover the second trade, The Great Cow Race.
Bone Read-Along #1: Out From Boneville
Jeff Smith’s Bone series has often been described as a cross between the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and Disney Duck comics artist Carl Barks. That is an incredibly accurate description. What starts off as a fairly silly, cartoon-y series about a trio of cousins, “Bones” from Boneville, gradually turns more serious and more mystical as it goes along, keeping the light-hearted characterization, but really going somewhere as the mythology of the series is gradually revealed. What seems mostly comical often had a more serious undercoating, and Smith layers it in very well with his vivid characters and drawings that went from the cartoonishly simple to the detailed landscape.
Jeff Smith’s Bone Read-Along Updated
I announced last week that I would be covering Jeff Smith’s Bone in another read-along. Well, those trades are fairly short and I already have all of them, nice color trades from Scholastic. So, let’s say the first entry will go up Thursday around 9:00 CST. That will give all interested parties time to catch up on the first six or so issues.
See you all then.
What To Do, What To Do…

So, as some of you may recall, I put up a poll not that long ago asking the readers what I should cover/discuss next for Gabbing Geek since the “Road to Secret Wars” is just about over. Initially, the poll came out with three votes for Jeff Smith’s Bone, and I announced that I would cover that next during my Monday posting for the podcast reaction.
Then something happened.
