I was pretty hard on Game of Thrones last week after being disappointed by the first two episodes. In fact, I wasn’t planning on watching episode 3 as soon as it was available but Silicon Valley and Veep were not online yet. This episode, however, finally delivered on all of the excitement I was craving.
I finally watched Game of Thrones S05E02 House of Black & White……. and-zzzzzzzz. Oh, sorry, I must have fallen asleep there for a minute much like when I actually watched the episode. The premier of season 5 did little to grab my attention so I was hoping this week’s episode would do more. There were a handful of bright spots here and there but I honestly don’t regret my decision to watch the latest Silicon Valley before tuning in to Game of Thrones. Warning: Spoilers after the break.
I am a huge Game Of Thrones fan, and I was an even bigger fan of Ygritte (Lord of Light rest her soul) – whoops spoiler. But come on, that was last season. If your’e like Jon Snow, and “know nothing” about Ygritte, then let me sum it up for you. She is an asskicking, sword wielding, bow shooting badass woman who eats ice and baby white-walkers for dinner. So when we saw that cosplayer Amy Wilber did an amazing job putting the costume together, we had to showcase it. Photography credit goes to Blue Panda. See more Ygritte after the break:
If you saw Watson’s last post, you probably realized that Jon Snow is the funniest guy on Game of Thrones. How could we not laugh at the lovable scamp?
Anyway, Jon has been told repeatedly how much he knows. See the below video behind the cut to see how much that is.

In news that should be, like, no surprise at all to fans of both George R.R. Martin’s Song of Ice and Fire novels and the HBO series Game of Thrones, one of the producers of said show has pretty much acknowledged that the show will give away the end of the books before the books get there, which at Martin’s current pace will probably be around the year 2525, if man is still alive, if woman can survive.
We knew Game of Thrones had become a big international phenomenon, but we didn’t know how big. About 50% bigger because it is coming to IMAX! As theaters start looking for new revenue streams, IMAX is looking to make Game of Thrones an event destination to further justify the extra $5 ticket prices.
