Not all that many moons ago, Mad Max director George Miller was preparing to direct a Justice League movie called Justice League Mortal. Unfortunately, even though they had gotten quite far into development and even had the above cast, that movie was not to be. But recently surfaced photos of Megan Gale as Wonder Woman gives you some idea of what we could have expected. Catch it after the break.
Unlike my fellow Gabbing Geeks Jenny and Watson, I never got to see the new documentary The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? complete with a director Q&A. Mainly because I was about 3500 miles away from the theatre the night they went. Anyway, I’ll catch the movie soon when it hits the Blu-Rays and other consumable outlets.
But that potential Nic Cage/Tim Burton collaboration wasn’t the only Superman related movie to come oh so close and fall apart. Way back in 2009, Warner Bros and DC were on the verge of making a Justice League film starring Armie Hammer as Batman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Adam Brody as the Flash and Common as Green Lantern. Obviously this film never happened. But why?
