Talking animals in some sort of anthropomorphic version of China must make a mint. That’s the best explanation for why Dreamworks is coming out with Kung Fu Panda 3. This one has Jack Black’s Po apparently meeting his biological father (voiced by Bryan Cranston) and then has to train the lost pandas in the art of macrame. I meant kung fu. Time to double down on martial arts obese mammals.
Oscar winner J.K. Simmons is the bad guy.
I’ll admit to liking the first one, but never really sat through the second from start to finish. So, I have nothing more to add aside from a quick mention that there’s a trailer after the cut.
According to Box Office Mojo Dreamworks just moved the Jack Black cartoon from March 18, 2016 to the dreads of January. It’s now on 1/29/16. I don’t think anyone is saying “well American Sniper did well, and Kung Fu Panda 3 is similar…”
Doom and Gloom.
