The face of every Geek on at least some of the things on this list.
2016. Did any of us think we’d live this long? Yeah, probably. We’re Geeks, not morbid.
So, what sort of Geek Entertainment has us here at Gabbing Geek at least a little curious? See behind the cut, with some items getting some expert Geek Commentary from the Geek Guru himself, Jimmy Impossible.
This week on the podcast, there wasn’t one. In fact, this marks the second podcast-free week in a row.
In fact, there’s also been a slowdown in Gabbing Geek article production if anyone cared to notice. The reason for both these things is sad and unfortunate.
Watson is missing. Please help us find our Watson.
A Lannister always pays his debts. Well it was finally time for the Emmys to give Game of Thrones a much deserved Best Series statue. That happened last night. Our reaction after the break.
I’ve been doing podcast reactions for a while now, even before I got tapped to write for this site. In that time, I have picked on Jenny and Watson quite a bit. Why not? Jenny is three ducks in a woman suit who doesn’t know who Max von Sydow is despite his memorable roles in both The Exorcist and Flash Gordon–leading to my theory that someone is finally continuing Flash Gordon‘s “To be continued” tag when Ming the Merciless is revealed to be the bad guy in Star Wars Episode VII. Watson just has that one picture that makes it rather easy. Heck, it doesn’t matter what other pictures I use, that picture will be the one that appears on Facebook for any article I write and use it for.
But aside from pointing out just how much Ryan likes the awful, awful Krull, I don’t pick on him that much.
I’m not going to pick on him now, because this post is an intervention.
“The ABC executive said he wanted some answers and he was putting his foot down. We’ll show him!”
It is no secret that I despised Lost. It’s come up on the podcast more than once and probably in an article or two here at Gabbing Geek. I have also been accused of becoming a hater at the end like so many others. But as a true geek it is important that I stake my claim–I was a Lost hater from season one. After the break I’ve copied the blog post I wrote and published on April 8, 2005. The first season of Lost wasn’t over yet and I gave my two biggest reasons for despising Lost. The second reason was from a writing perspective–at the time I was taking a lot of TV writing classes and writing spec scripts so that second item (artificial tension) bugged me a lot. But that first reason and my prediction for how Lost would end–read this and tell me I didn’t nail it five years before the rest of you had to suffer through that finale!
Lost sucked then, still sucks. See what I said back in 2005 after the break.
