I don’t know much about Jessica Jones, something I know I have to remedy. The only books that I have read with her in it she usually shows up for a panel and whines to Luke Cage about protecting their baby and fades back into the background. By the looks of the trailer from Netflix (and I assume the Brian Michael Bendis series it is based on) Jessica’s past is pretty dark and convoluted. Decide for yourself after the cut.
Daredevil has been a roaring success for Netflix, and with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist on the way, plus Elektra and the Punisher being added to Daredevil, it does seem to be a good place for Marvel’s street level heroes to get some exposure.
As it is, rumors suggest Netflix may be interested in Moon Knight for his own show. Who is Moon Knight? Answer after the cut.
Marvel’s Last Days branded Secret Wars tie-ins are supposed to give us the stories surrounding “What will our heroes do with their final hours before it all ends?” Unfortunately, most of these books have very little to do with Secret Wars. While some deal with the final incursion and its affect on people across the globe, most just deal with wrapping up storylines from each solo title.
After the break I’ll look at Captain America and the Mighty Avengers #9, Punisher #19, Punisher #20, Ms. Marvel #16, Magneto #19, Magneto #20 and Black Widow #19 and their wildly varying degrees of tying into the main event.
Also, if you are like me and haven’t read all of Johnathon Hickman’s Avengers run leading up to Secret Wars, be sure to take Tom’s Road To Secret Wars course at gabbinggeekuniversity.com. The reading materials are online here: Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,7.
If you’re anything like me – pictures say a thousand words. Well….words also say a thousand words, but pictures are better because: PRETTY! And again, if you’re anything like me (which let’s face it, everyone is totally like me) then keeping up with all the Marvel movie rights will make your head explode. But never fear! Thanks to The Geek Twins, your handy-dandy Marvel guide is here!

One of the most popular leads of a show I do not like, David Tennant has been tapped to play the Villian in Netflix’s Jessica Jones series.
Tennant is set to play Killgrave (like he wasn’t gonna be a baddie with that name) opposite Kristen Ritter’s JeJo as her character is popular known (ok…I made that up).
Great addition to a show that could be amazing if they stay true to the Brian Michael Bendis story.
