While the true pinnacle of geekiness–an actual Pixar-Star Wars crossover–has yet to take place, for now we will have to satisfy ourselves with these baby steps in the form of Cars action figures dressed up like Star Wars characters. Spotted in a Disneyland store (did you know they sell things at Disneyland?) by contributing writer Greg, these crossover toys will just have to do until we get the real thing. See these toys in the wild after the break and let us know your favorite in the comments!
Say hello to Luke everyone! “Hi LUKE!” Luke loves dinosaurs – and recently was inspired by Jurassic World. So inspired in fact, that he deconstructed his LEGO Millennium Falcon to get enough grey pieces to build the new Indominus Rex from the movie! Now – though we all think the Millennium Falcon should never be deconstructed, because well – it’s the Millennium Falcon! We still have to give props to Luke for being super ingenious and hard core! Awesome replica of the Rex-Raptor hybrid Luke – this scores a win for creativity! Well done!
Episode 42 of Gabbing Geek has a great conversation about Jurassic World, our Watchmen book club, and a fun Star Wars Episode VII betting game. Give it a listen right now or jump after the break to read more!
May 4th is one of the best days to dress up as your favorite Star Wars character – and thanks to the Star Wars celebration that happened last month, we have a lot of Star Wars cosplay to cover. Check out some of our favorites, and let us know what you think? Especially when you see the George Lucas… I mean, can we say doppleganger or what?
Hopefully you were able to see all the amazing cosplay that came out of the Star Wars Celebration this past month. But if you missed it, never fear, Cosplay Boom captured it, along with the touching stories of the people who spend numerous amounts of hours to recreate the characters from a galaxy far far away. Many of the costumes look like they were plucked straight out of the film, but some of the most creative examples are those that blend a cosplayer’s varied passions into one outfit – like the famous Hip-Hop Stormtrooper pictured above.
You’ll want to grab a tissue or at least have your handy “IT WAS ALLERGIES” excuse ready to go, because this video is amazing:
Is that a new episode of the Gabbing Geek podcast I hear? Why yes, yes it is!
