Oh the Millennium Falcon! Our favorite hunk of junk this side of the galaxy has a few tricks up her sleeve. Did you know that previous names given to the modified YT-1300 freighter were, Second Chance and Gone to Pieces. If you remember, Luke Skywalker called it “a piece of junk,” which is quite a literal take on what the name could have been. Thankfully, we think that Millennium Falcon was a much better choice.

Truth be told that about this time every year, I get a little nostalgic. It’s in the beginning of July, and (almost to the date) one month before my 6 year wedding anniversary. Not that any of you care about that – because, seriously, we get enough of that crap on Facebook. But the nostalgia usually leads me to thinking about our awesome R2D2 groom’s cake – unto which was destroyed by everyone eating it (I have to admit, it was delicious). Say hello to Luke everyone! “Hi LUKE!” Luke loves dinosaurs – and recently was inspired by Jurassic World. So inspired in fact, that he deconstructed his LEGO Millennium Falcon to get enough grey pieces to build the new Indominus Rex from the movie! Now – though we all think the Millennium Falcon should never be deconstructed, because well – it’s the Millennium Falcon! We still have to give props to Luke for being super ingenious and hard core! Awesome replica of the Rex-Raptor hybrid Luke – this scores a win for creativity! Well done!
I have a birthday coming up. I put in a request for a Walking Dead cake. I may have to change it after seeing this baking masterpiece. Yes, this is a Millennium Falcon cake.
