Ryan’s 2015 Movie Rankings

number one (image can be used for printing or web)

Yes, we’re already three weeks into 2016 but I finally managed to put together my movie rankings for 2015.  Because life.  I only managed to see 51 films this year, a paltry sum compared to Watson when he isn’t even trying. And eight of those were on a plane to or from China, making the theater total even lower.  Definitely a busy year, but overall a great one for movies.  Head after the jump to see how I ranked all 51!

What Movies Could Sneak Into 2015’s Top Ten Grossing Films? (or “How Bad is Ryan’s B.O.?”)

jurassic-world

In a January article by Gabbing Geek’s own Ryan Garcia, he predicted the 2015 Top Ten Grossing films (domestic).  Rule of thumb says that to crack the top ten,  a film will need to surpass $200M+. Some of Ryan’s picks were right.  Some were wrong.    Where will we wind up and what could spoil Ryan’s top ten list?

Can Mission:Impossible Hold The Top Spot For A Third Week?

mission_impossible_honest_trailer
I have no idea, I just needed an angle to post this Honest Trailer that looks back at the first four films of the Cruise franchise.  Check it out after the break.

On the serious side, I don’t see MI5 holding on with Straight Outta Compton and possibly Man From U.N.C.L.E. having big money potential.  The most interesting thing to watch this weekend will be how far Fantastic Four drops from week to week.  70%?

ICYMI-Bold Predictions: The Top Ten Grossing Films Of 2015 And The Nine That Won’t Make The Cut

goldcoins
Disney is going to make so much money in 2015 they’re recreating the Duck Tales title sequence in their offices.

2015 is not going to break records at the box office.  2015 is going to utterly demolish box office records on the heels of two mega-performers and a market that is ready to have some fun in the movie theater again.  Especially after this downer of an Oscar season.  But what ten movies am I boldly predicting will be the top in the 2015 box office?  Before we get to the top ten, let’s see what nine films will miss the cut.

Rumors of the third GI Joe movie having the Crimson Twins Tomax and Xamot was exciting.  I liked those guys.  But the twins can eat a bag of d!@&s because the real story is further down the article by Film Divider!  That being that Matt Trakker may be in it as well!!!

Tom Cruise Runs From the Jedi

I guess Ryan was wrong that Mission Impossible 5 would be a top ten movie of 2015. Maybe it will make his 2016 list.

Fearing the return of the Jedi, MI5 has moved back to July 2016 to avoid a collision with Star Wars Episode 7.

Smart move! 2015 is looking crowded; better to wait for 2016.
