Podcast Reaction: Villains Edition

This week the podcast came out a day early, but I got a new Kindle Fire and don’t know yet how to download the show before going to work to listen during my lunch break.  And no, downloading at work isn’t an option.  Because reasons.  There are some, but I won’t go into them.  Anyway, here’s the podcast reaction.

I don’t really have anything else to add to the discussion of The Martian.  It’s a great book, and I gave a SPOILER-FREE review for it elsewhere.  Like right here.

Instead, let’s talk about how to make a good villain.

Awesome Cosplay Of The Day: NEBULA

Nebula from Guardian’s of the Galaxy get’s a bad wrap – I mean, she only really wanted to be loved by her father Thanos, what’s so bad about trying to rule the world in between daddy hugs? Well – here at Gabbing Geek we promote the villains, as long as they are awesome – just like Karin Olava. Her cosplay of Nebula is so spot on, it’s hard to tell that she wasn’t actually in the movie! They Killed Everybody

 

Marvel Comics released the first issue of the new Secret Wars this past week.  The issue in question ended with the destruction of both the main Marvel and Ultimate universes aside from a handful of survivors on both sides.

How likely is it that this new status quo will remain?  What do you think?
