2016.  Did any of us think we’d live this long?  Yeah, probably.  We’re Geeks, not morbid.

So, what sort of Geek Entertainment has us here at Gabbing Geek at least a little curious?  See behind the cut, with some items getting some expert Geek Commentary from the Geek Guru himself, Jimmy Impossible.

Please Tell Me Uncharted 4 Will Be Better Than Arkham Knight

uncharted4

Back in March I broke down and bought a PS4.  (Getting it a ridiculous (but still expensive) price at a “Going out of business” sale helped.)  I knew I would get one at some point with the prior announcement of two games I was very excited about.  Batman Arkham Knight and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Unfortunately I’ve found Arkham Knight to be a huge disappointment.  One of the big sells of the game was the inclusion of the Batmobile…which has turned into my least favorite aspect.  The thing is hard too handle while driving and there are just way, way, way too many Batmobile missions.  And if I wanted to spend hours at a time fighting tanks, I would have bought a war simulator.  This ain’t Batman.

But I digress.  Hopefully my second anticipated game lives up to the hype when it arrives next March.  Check out a new trailer for Uncharted 4 after the break.

Like Resident Evil? Like Free Games? Like Free Resident Evil Games? Who Doesn’t?!

resident_evil_revelations2

I’ll admit to not having played all the Resident Evil games, but have loved what ones I have.  (Except for V…which I haven’t finished…)  I like the movies too…though I haven’t seen all of them either.  Maybe I’m not as big a Resident Evil fan as I think I am.

Anyway, if you are a Resident Evil fan, the first episode of the most recent game is now free to download across console platforms.  (PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360.  Apparently the PC version is not free and will still run you around $6.)  The game was released in 4 episodes with some bonus content, the rest of which is not free currently.  So be prepared to pay up if you enjoy episode one and want to continue.

Batman Day = Money In Your Utility Belt

If you’re like me you have a long list of Batman things that you want to buy.  You also probably have a pretty long list of Batman stuff that you already have.  But if you are working on your “buy list”, it’s a good time as Bat-sales are everywhere this week because of Batman Day.

Here’s a few of note, I’m sure there are more:

Happy Bat-shopping!

As well, here’s a list of Batman Day Events and visit your local comic shop for a free Batman comic which features a reprint of the first chapter of Batman: Endgame and a preview of the upcoming Batman And Robin Eternal.

Shine Up Your Pip-Boys…Fallout 4 Is Officially Announced!

fallout4

In typical Fallout fashion when the countdown clock on their website stopped…nothing happened.  Just a “Please Stand By” screen.  But everything seems to be up and running now over to fallout4.com.  We don’t yet know many specifics besides the platforms being PS4, Xbox One and PC.  Look for a whole lot more to be revealed on June 14 at Bethesda’s E3 press conference.

The announcement trailer is available for your viewing pleasure after the break.  There’s definitely a bit of a “been there, done that” feel to it as it is mostly typical looking (with upgraded graphics obviously) Fallout, but I’m still giddy.

DNA – It’s Not Just For Breakfast (Or Identifying Murderers) Anymore

Pop Quiz: what’s the size of a teaspoon and costs more than the entire economic output of the entire planet?  If you answered “Donald Trump’s toupee adhesive”, that answer is incorrect.
