Recently, it was announced that a new Scooby Doo movie would launch a Hanna-Barbera cinematic universe.  We also know that the Men in Black/21 Jump Street movie is supposed to actually happen.

Basically, that means that anything can be a cinematic universe these days.  While sitting around the Gabbing Geek Editorial Office, I came up with a few of my own.  See them after the cut.  Hollywood, feel free to use these for a small piece of the gross.  Not the net.  I won’t be screwed over that way.

#ManicMonday: Kid Gets Suspended For Using “One Ring To Rule Them All” At School

Happy Monday everyone. To get this week started off right, how about some story time? Imagine you are a 9-year-old little boy, and you are a huge fan of Lord Of The Rings (I mean, who wouldn’t?). And imagine that because you love this magical franchise so much, you concoct a story where you own the ONE RING TO RULE THEM ALL. Not that you actually have the ring, that would be silly…but your imagination doesn’t need to know that. And then imagine that you tried to use that imaginary ring to rule over your friends during recess. Sounds pretty harmless, right? WRONG! This can get you expelled from school in Texas.

The Entertainment Industry To Nitpickers: Historical Accuracy Is For Chumps!

Awards season.  A prominent director releases a movie that garners some Oscar nominations.  Controversy arises among some, though.  The movie is based on the life of a man many Americans think of as a hero, but who in his own time has proven to be somewhat controversial.  It seems some have found the movie has taken a few liberties with past events, and since said past events are based on real, living people, this is a cause for concern among some people.

I am speaking, of course, of Steven Spielberg’s 2012 movie Lincoln.
