Bad Performances in Good Superhero Movies

Steel is neither

On Tuesday, we talked about actors who gave a strong performance in a stinker of a superhero flick.  While it is always a shame to waste a strong performance in a turd of a film, isn’t is a greater sin to crap on the rug in an otherwise fine superhero motion picture?  Let’s take a look at some people who need to call the carpet cleaners, because they did just that!

Avengers 2: A Movie So Anticipated We Get Excited of Pictures From Scenes In The Trailers!

Marvel dumped 16 screencaps with some captions.  Nothing terribly new in the content (Still no Vision!, but if you spot something they snuck past me, let us know in the comments.  Pics after the jump.

Russo Brothers Confirm More Civil War Combatants

The Russo brothers talk about Captain America: Civil War during an interview in China and confirm that Sebastian Stan and Scarlett Johansson will appear in the movie.  This shouldn’t surprise any fans of Cap.  We already knew Sebastian Stan signed a contract for a billion Marvel movies–the only surprise will be finding out which movies he won’t appear in.  And Black Widow already showed up in Cap 2, so being in Cap 3 is about as exciting as discovering it will have an end credits scene as well.  But, you know, confirmed!

Not sure how the Iron Man armor is 6’5″ when Robert Downey Jr is 5’9″.  His feet are at the bottom.  His head is at the top.  Not like you can make that taller…

ScarJo To Star In Live Action Anime Film; Marvel Still Trying To Determine If That’s Their Posterior Or A Hole In The Ground

This is Scarlett Johansson.  She stars in movies.  She’s gorgeous.  Critics love her.  Her last ten films have averaged 82% on Rotten Tomatoes.  She’s about to play Black Widow for the fourth time.  She even managed to pull in decent money with a horribly scripted action film, Lucy.  And yet Marvel still won’t give her a Black Widow solo film.  Because, really, who wants to look at this ugly mug for two hours?
