Why Sharks Stick to Tornados Instead of Freshwater Lakes and Rivers

So it wasn’t scary enough to go into the ocean, apparently someone was surprised that sharks wouldn’t swim upstream and plague our lakes and rivers!

These scientists (also known in academia as “dicks”!) now know why sharks only eat us in the seas.

Few animals make the move from saltwater to freshwater habitats; a slew of physiological and ecological barriers limits this. And for sharks, it’s because they’ll sink, according to a new studypublished in the Journal of Experimental Biology last week.

Whew. What a roller coaster. Now, we  just need to watch out for landsharks.
