I’m not ashamed to say, I love Independence Day. But you know what I have never asked for in 20 years? A sequel to Independence Day. But it looks like it is coming whether we want it or not.
After the break, watch the new commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. I really liked the opening shot during the singing of the national anthem, but after that I couldn’t decide if what I was watching was cool or just another excuse for destruction porn?

Since the Batsoup trailers have been around forever and the dawn of the Justice League is right around the corner, DC decided to go a different route with their Super Bowl advertising. After the break see two new ads for real life Turkish Airlines and their new flights to not so real life Gotham and Metropolis.
With the Hulk preferring to appear in Thor: Ragnorak over Captain America: Civil War, it could be a while before we see the green giant share the big screen with Marvel’s smallest hero. But if the Coke Mini commercial after the break is considered canon (it’s not…) then they’ve already met.

I’m a fan of the X-Men films, but the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse had me concerned. The commercial that aired during the Super Bowl has restored some of that faith. It looks much better than the trailer. You’ve probably seen it by now, but if not, watch it after the break.
Finally, after the expectedly disappointing side-quel that was The Bourne Legacy, Matt Damon is back as the main man himself in Jason Bourne. Of note, this is the first Bourne movie that hasn’t taken a title from the book series…not that any of the movie plots have come from said books. Get a first look after the break.
The Cap 3 commercial after the break is short but gives us a clear drawing of lines between the Avengers in the upcoming Civil War. Still no sign of a Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
