Mockingjay Part Two Honest Trailer Is Better Than The Movie

Hunger_Games_KatnissThrone_1Sheet

I liked all of the Hunger Games movies until Mockingjay Part 2.  Even Part 1, which a lot of people did not like.  I thought Part Two was just horrible.  I haven’t read the books so it is hard for me to say how they could have juggled and edited the story to condense it down into one sensible movie.  I understand financially why they didn’t, but quality wise it might have worked out better for all involved.

With the release of Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 on Blu-ray next week (and DVD I guess…do people still buy DVDs?  Does anyone besides me still buy Blu-rays?) the good folks at Honest Trailers give us their take on the film after the break.  Includes massive spoilers, so fair warning if you haven’t seen the movie.

Gabbing Geek Box Office Report: You Know What Earned The Most, But Read This Article Anyway

Look, do I need to draw a map?  Everyone knows what came in #1 last weekend.  The only question is how much did it come in #1 by.  Seriously, was there any chance it wouldn’t?

You know what’s even odder?  All the Gabbing Geeks have seen that movie by now, and no one has written a review for it.  Not even Ryan listing all the things that were wrong about it, which he even does for movies he likes.

Gabbing Geek Box Office Report: No, Watson Is Not Back Yet

ll62u

Hey, another weekend passed, and our usual box office guy, Watson, is still on special assignment covering the civil war in Ukraine.  He said there was geek value to it, and who are we to say no to Watson putting himself in harm’s way?

So, here’s another box office report.

Spectre Number One At The Box Office. Still No Madame Xanadu Film.

I have to admit, I’m shocked that a 2nd or 3rd tier hero like The Spectre even has a major motion picture, let alone one that would make the top of the box office.  Tom would be a better one to talk all things Spectre since I’ve really never read much about him, but Tom is on double secret probation for his Russian box office report last week.

[Editor’s note: JIMMY!!!!]

What?  That Russian report was…you’re not talking about that are you…why are you looking at me like that…I didn’t…wait…Spectre…not The Spectre.  Whoops!  Anyway, let’s see how the new Bond film, not the second film in the new DC Cinematic Universe did after the break.
