This AMC web series was so interesting that I completely forgot about it once The Walking Dead aired its mid-season finale. If you need another 90-ish seconds of not quite walkers check out parts seven and eight after the cut. The series should return with part nine sometime after Christmas. Yeah?
I really love the Walking Dead games by Telltale Games. (Not that dreadful Survival Instinct by Terminal Reality/Activision starring Darryl and Merle Dixon. Dear God, what a half-assed money grab that was.) They look great and the story is compelling. The gameplay is fairly simple in general and I can see them boring some as they do involve a lot of conversations, but they also involve a lot of puzzles and decision making. Coolest of all, those conversations and decisions impact the story going forward. Pissed someone off in a conversation earlier…they might not try to help you when the walkers come. Decide to let someone perish…guess what, you can’t open that gate now without their help.
This aspect of the game-play really drew me in and I was happy to see that those decisions didn’t just “live” in the current game, but would also be remembered in subsequent games. (Assuming you kept those saved games around.)
After the cut, read more on a Telltale’s new Batman game and a Walking Dead game starring Michonne that spins off from the comic and not the previous games.
I’ll keep this intro short as most of what I want to talk about is very spoiler based. Join me after the cut for more on this past week’s Walking Dead episode, The Walking Dead comic and why, as the title says, you should be careful what you wish for.
Gabbing Geek’s Halloween Costume this year is Retro-Gabbing Geek! Yes, that’s right, we’re going back into time (this time without a DeLorean) and revisiting our very first Halloween Special. Take a walk down memory lane as we enjoy this spooktacular episode from last year, where we’re still wearing diapers. Listen now if you dare!
For once EVER, let’s turn the tables and take a look at how we can eat the zombies for a change! Am-I-right? I mean – why do they get to do all the eating? I say NAY! We shall turn you zombies into a delicious sugary treat – and I shall proclaim: LET THEM EAT CAKE! And then we can all revel in the wonder of some artists as they school us on how to make brilliant Walking Dead cakes. Tempt your taste buds after the break:
After the cut, another exciting chapter in Fear The Walking Dead: Flight 462. This week, marvel as our characters order drinks and discuss how standby works! It’s no surprise a walker supposedly shows up at some point, he was probably bored to death.
If you are like me you don’t watch commercials. You probably rarely watch live TV. And even when you do, you wait 15-20 minutes until after the start of a show to start watching it so that you can skip the commercials.
In doing that it is also easy to miss things like say the pieces of Fear The Walking Dead: Flight 462 as you skip ahead. (Editor’s note: I wouldn’t exactly say you are missing anything there Jimmy.)
After the cut, a heads up as to why you should take it easy on the fast forward button this Sunday…as if you need to guess…
After the cut, part two of Fear The Walking Dead: Flight 462. It’s less than a minute long. Seriously, are we supposed to get excited by this? At the very least string a couple of minutes together and release them.
