Geek Review: The Revenant

maxresdefault-3

OK, The Revenant was not a Geek movie.  Not really.

But I’m writing a review anyway.  And I’m typing this Sunday afternoon, so I have no idea how many Oscars it will win by the time this goes live Monday morning.  So, deal with it.  SPOILER-free review after the cut.

Some of Ryan’s picks were right.  Some were wrong.    Where will we wind up and what could spoil Ryan’s top ten list?

Three More Mad Max Movies Are In The Works

Finally, a film that lets you scream FIRE! in a crowded theater. Or an empty theater, depending on the movie itself.
Finally, a film that lets you scream FIRE! in a crowded theater. Or an empty theater, depending on the movie itself.

Take this with a huge grain of salt.  Or sand.  Or salty sand.  But Time is reporting that Tom Hardy is attached to three more Mad Max films after this summer’s flaming-tornado-desert-race pic.  Director George Miller already has the screenplay for the second and a novelization of the third, which is important because we all know Mad Max films are only as good as their literary origins.  The fourth movie?  Who knows.

Mad Max Fury Road comes out on May 15 and will have the first Batsoup trailer–which anyone with an internet connection will also be able to watch.

A bump in the road or sign that Will Smith now ruins movies?

And that Rick Flag picture above? That’s pure wit you get only from Gabbing Geek!
