Trailer Time: Electra Woman And Dyna Girl

Earlier today, Ryan posted the new Warcraft trailer, which is a thing that is happening.  I’d posted a couple, and usually couple the trailer in question with something that looks much cooler.  While looking for something to go with the new one before Ryan beat me to the punch, I found this thing for Electra Woman and Dyna Girl.  I had a few thoughts.

1. What the hell was that?
2. Sid and Marty Kroft are still in business?  Are those guys still alive?
3. Who the hell are these people?
4. Seriously, what the hell was that?

Look, I know nothing of this whole thing, but it seems to be a thing that exists.  You know, like Warcraft.  There’s a date attached for June.  Anyway, trailer after the cut.  Go nuts.  It’s probably better than Krull.

Here’s what Tom had to say about the last Warcraft trailer when it dropped last month:

So, a new trailer for the Warcraft movie dropped.  Trailers generally don’t say much, but I think this one set a new record for not saying anything.  What is this movie about?  I have no idea.

The latest trailer just came out and, well, Tom already said most of what needs to be said.  Except for one thing: what’s up with the text “An unthinkable threat”?  These are Orcs!  You live in the world of Warcraft and you don’t think Orcs are a threat?  WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING ALL YOUR LIFE?  They’re Orcs.  They’re…well…they’re your orcs.  They’re like your El Guapo, everybody has one but yours happens to be actual Orcs.

This movie is going to be so bad.  Check out the latest train-wreck of quick cuts comprising a trailer after the break.

No Time To Watch All The Current Trailers For 2016 Movies?

I’m gonna guess the first picture of somebody skiing that we’ve ever posted on gabbinggeek.com.

Bold Predictions: 2016 Edition- Watson’s Rebuttal

I’m totally off the grid these days, but Ryan’s predictions are so bad I had to come in and rip them to shreds and give you the REAL numbers.  His bold predictions about how the 2015 domestic box office would turn out were pretty weak.  He called his performance was mixed–but for him mixed was chocolate plus peanut butter.  In reality, it is a mix of Ex-lax and motor oil.  So I am going to go, one by one, through his 2016 picks and give the real number.  We have a lunch bet on who has the lowest delta between the acutals and their predictions.  NO PRICE IS RIGHT RULES IN EFFECT!

Remember last week when I posted a teaser for a Warcraft movie and guessed I was the only writer at Gabbing Geek who ever played the game?  Well, the teaser was real, but someone else here used to play.

Anyway, the full trailer’s out now.  It looks perfectly “meh” to me, but what do I know?

So, for some reason, there’s a Warcraft movie coming out.

As near as I can make out, I’m the only person at Gabbing Geek who ever played World of Warcraft at all, and for the life of me, I still don’t know why there’s a movie coming.  I mean, yeah, a few million players worldwide, the game as a deep mythology of its own, and so forth, but has there ever been a successful movie based on a video game?
