Most of the time, when someone mentions a Robert Zemeckis film around the Gabbing Geek offices, the movie in question is Back to the Future.

My favorite of his films is actually Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

The folks at Cinefix came up with a video listing some facts about the making of the movie that may be interesting to fans.  Or it may not.  You decide!

All Ears: Mickey Through The Years (Infographic)

Hey there Boys & Girls! It’s your old pal Mickey! Mickey Mouse that is, and chances are, you know all about Mickey Mouse. He’s only THE most famous animated rodent of all time, the official spokesman for Disney, and really, America’s truest sweetheart. And if you didn’t know, good ol’ Mouse ears himself started his journey as another character called Steamboat Willie.  In this infographic, our friends over at Shirts.com start back in 1928 with his first appearances in those black and white short films and travel up through the present, detailing all his looks and transformations along the way. True Sequels We Need to See!

Back in Episode 21 of Gabbing Geek, the Geeks played a game of “Sequel, Reboot, or LET IT DIE!” In that now legendary segment (my mom liked it), we offered our not so humble opinions on how to manage some prominent Geek film properties.  A movie like Goonies, for instance, could be rebooted for a new generation, continued with the original kids now parents to a next generation of Goonies, or Let the franchise die (which is somewhat incompatible with their motto…) Some franchises were destined to be continued, yet along the way the wheels fell off the bus.  Let’s make up for Hollywood’s sins and green light a few films in the PURE SEQUEL category.
