I’m totally off the grid these days, but Ryan’s predictions are so bad I had to come in and rip them to shreds and give you the REAL numbers. His bold predictions about how the 2015 domestic box office would turn out were pretty weak. He called his performance was mixed–but for him mixed was chocolate plus peanut butter. In reality, it is a mix of Ex-lax and motor oil. So I am going to go, one by one, through his 2016 picks and give the real number. We have a lunch bet on who has the lowest delta between the acutals and their predictions. NO PRICE IS RIGHT RULES IN EFFECT!

One year ago I made some bold predictions about how the 2015 domestic box office would turn out. My performance was mixed–got some, missed some others. But now it’s time to look ahead to 2016. 2016. Did any of us think we’d live this long? Yeah, probably. We’re Geeks, not morbid.
So, what sort of Geek Entertainment has us here at Gabbing Geek at least a little curious? See behind the cut, with some items getting some expert Geek Commentary from the Geek Guru himself, Jimmy Impossible.
So, for some reason, there’s a Warcraft movie coming out.
As near as I can make out, I’m the only person at Gabbing Geek who ever played World of Warcraft at all, and for the life of me, I still don’t know why there’s a movie coming. I mean, yeah, a few million players worldwide, the game as a deep mythology of its own, and so forth, but has there ever been a successful movie based on a video game?
Well, there’s a teaser after the cut if anyone is interested. Don’t sneeze during play or you’ll miss the whole thing and have to play it again.

This week on the podcast, the Gabbiest of Geeks discussed random stuff that happened at the San Diego Comic Con. I got name dropped twice. Once when Watson mistook a completely different Sy-Fy bit of programming that I had brought up from one Ryan was discussing. Ryan’s sounded very interesting, but I was discussing in the GG Bullpen a mini-series based on Arthur C. Clarke’s Childhood’s End that I may try to set up as a book club thing for here on the website. Stay tuned.
I also learned I am apparently in Hell. I wasn’t expecting that. I imagine that is what most people say when they find themselves there.

We’re a little late the game, since it was first shown off at the South Korean launch of World of Warcraft: Warlord of Draenor last fall.
