Simpsons Did It!: “Mr. Plow”

the-simpsons

Simpsons fans just know this episode.

Do they know that the plow Homer buys is from Kumatsu Motors, the same Japanese car company that bought Homer’s brother Herb’s bankrupt company?  They do now.

You know, if anybody really read these.

ll62u

Last week, I thought I finally figured out the whole point of the weekly Box Office Report.

Then someone showed up to set me straight.  Or straighter.  Is “straighter” a word?

Gabbing Geek Box Office Report: I Get It Now

ll62u

I’ve been filling in for Watson for a while now on the Box Office Report despite my repeated preference to never do these again.  Seriously, why do we do these at all?

Then, after a long conversation with last week’s distant Watson cousin, I finally figured it all out.

Gabbing Geek Box Office Report: April Fool’s, There Still Is One!

ll62u

While Watson may have found a way to simulcast for a recent podcast, he still has not been able to make it into the office to actually, you know, do his job around here.

Which means we’re still somehow finding people to do the Box Office Report for him.

It’s time for what may arguably my least favorite column of the week, and yet I continue to submit one anyway.

There’s something really deep going on here.

Gabbing Geek Box Office Report: Even A Low Rotten Tomatoes Score Doesn’t Mean People Won’t See Divergent

Gabbing Geek Box Office Report: We Still Write ‘Em

ll62u

It’s almost spring time, a time when young men’s minds skip to flights of fancy and other stuff like that.

Point is, we still haven’t found Watson, whose mind skipped to something with a lot of nachos and cheese in a far off land.  Time for the box office report.

Bold Predictions: 2016 Edition- Watson’s Rebuttal

goldcoinsI’m totally off the grid these days, but Ryan’s predictions are so bad I had to come in and rip them to shreds and give you the REAL numbers.  His bold predictions about how the 2015 domestic box office would turn out were pretty weak.  He called his performance was mixed–but for him mixed was chocolate plus peanut butter.  In reality, it is a mix of Ex-lax and motor oil.  So I am going to go, one by one, through his 2016 picks and give the real number.  We have a lunch bet on who has the lowest delta between the acutals and their predictions.  NO PRICE IS RIGHT RULES IN EFFECT!
